Fundraising
A campaign requires significant time and resources. Volunteers are essential to the team, but there are still costs, including technology, phone calls, texting, signage, and printing and delivery of literature. Financial assistance is appreciated.
We are officially registered with Elections Alberta and can provide tax credits/receipts to Alberta Residents. Alberta businesses can also donate and use this as a deduction.
For the first $200 you donate to a political group during the year, you could be eligible for a 75% tax credit. That means, if you donate $200, you get a $150 tax credit.
| Contribution Amount (AB) | Available Tax Credit | Maximum Tax Credit | Cumulative Total |
| Up to $200 | 75% | $150 | $150 |
| Next $900 ($201-$1100) | 50% | $450 | $600 ($150 + $450) |
| Next $1200 ($1101 – $2300) | 33.3% | $400 | $1000 ($400+$600) |

Volunteers
A campaign is only as strong as the volunteers and supporters that make up the team.
There are several ways to get involved, including:
- Literature delivery
- Door knocking with Mike
- Phone calls
- Selling memberships
- Social media support
- Handwritten thank you cards
- and so much more
And during the election period, we also need:
- Sign delivery
- Driving folks to the polls
- And other efforts to maximize the ‘get out to vote’ initiative
Since January, We have been out door-knocking and dropping off flyers almost daily, weather permitting.
Mike and the team make phone calls and follow up daily. We use Google Docs and have a set script, so you can make calls from anywhere. The intent is to build awareness of the campaign, hear their concerns, and sell UCP memberships in the Calgary Shaw area to support Mike in the nomination
Please let us know if you, your kids, or your family are interested in getting involved.
