Mike’s wife is a born-and-raised Albertan, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and an economist with Suncor. Her family is from a small farm town in Central Alberta.

Mike’s two boys attend public school in the French immersion program. Mike is an active parent volunteer and hockey coach. The oldest son just got his junior black belt in Hapkido.

Mike is incredibly active in the community. In addition to regularly volunteering at schools and community programs, Mike volunteers on many not-for-profit and political initiatives. He also hosts a monthly community Chess night and a political best practices group.

He has helped formulate great ideas into excellent policies and get them passed. Mike’s passion for policy is focused on parental and homeowner rights, ensuring a strong public education and health care system, keeping individual and business taxes low, and promoting financial discipline and government transparency.  He has been a key contributor in the strategic planning and budgeting for the local community’s residents’ association, keeping fees low.

Our next Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) needs to be a great listener, able to bring people together, represent our community and be a strong voice. Mike’s whole career has been focused on creating value, listening with purpose and advocating for organizations and individuals.
