Meet Mike
Mike has proudly called the Calgary area home his entire life. He and his wife have been married for 18 years and are raising their two sons in the community. Their boys attend local public schools and are active in sports and community activities.
With more than 20 years of experience as a Human Resources professional and business leader, Mike understands how organizations work — and how they sometimes don’t. He believes good leadership starts with listening, identifying root causes, and bringing people together to find practical, balanced solutions grounded in core values.
Since January 2026, Mike and his team have been delivering literature, knocking on doors and speaking directly with residents. The goal is simple: listen first.

The Issues We’re Hearing About
Education
Families and educators are concerned about growing classroom complexity and increasing class sizes. While compensation matters, many teachers tell us that additional classroom supports and targeted funding are critical — especially as our school system continues to grow rapidly.
We need practical solutions that support students, teachers, and parents.
Health Care
Alberta spends significantly on health care, yet many families struggle with access and timely service. We must:
- Improve system efficiency
- Address staffing shortages
- Create better pathways for qualified professionals trained outside Alberta
- Develop a sustainable long-term plan
Health care should be reliable, accessible, and accountable.
Affordability
Families are feeling squeezed. Food, fuel, housing, and everyday essentials are rising faster than wages.
We must protect the Alberta advantage by:
- Exploring government efficiencies
- Keeping taxes competitive
- Reducing unnecessary spending
- Working responsibly toward eliminating government debt
Hard-working families deserve to keep more of what they earn.
Policy Leadership & Community Involvement
Mike is actively involved in policy development within local constituency associations and at the provincial level of the United Conservative Party. His work includes drafting policy resolutions, building grassroots support, and advancing ideas at the UCP Annual General Meeting.
Some initiatives he has helped advance include:
Transparency & Accountability
Ensuring political party directors and officers disclose affiliations with domestic or foreign political entities and other public organizations.
Family Safety & Property Rights
Supporting the right of families to feel secure in their homes and on their property.
Government Neutrality
Maintaining neutrality at public buildings by limiting flag displays to officially recognized flags.
Food & Water Transparency
Supporting clear labelling standards for food products, including lab-grown meat and certain additives.
Advocating for informed choice on matters such as water fluoridation.
Essential Services
Recognizing places of worship and their outreach efforts as essential community services.
Immigration & Infrastructure
Supporting balanced immigration policies that prioritize economic opportunity while ensuring infrastructure — roads, hospitals, schools, and housing — keeps pace with growth.
Let’s Build Solutions Together
Mike believes politics works best when it brings people together — not pushes them apart.
If you see Mike at your door, say hello.
If you have an idea, share it.
If you have concerns, raise them.
This campaign is about listening, leadership, and practical solutions that work for our community.
